Open Mic Nights are a fun opportunity to try out a new piece or perform a favorite from your repertoire in a casual setting.
Community Recital
Held every spring, our recital at Mozaic Senior Life (formerly Jewish Senior Services) is a wonderful opportunity for students to share their music with the greater community.
FSM Student Showcase at Localpalooza
We are happy to return to the stage again at Localpalooza, a fantastic music festival held every year in Bethany, CT.
Make Music Day at FSM
We're excited to participate again in the International Make Music Day, held every year on the summer solstice. FSM students and local musicians are invited to perform in our parking lot (or inside the school in the event of rain).
Annual June Recital
Our Annual June Recital is an opportunity to showcase our students’ progress from the school year. Two separate recital sessions will be held at 1:00 & 2:30 pm to accommodate all of our performers.
About Our Events
Rather than offering just one recital at the end of the year, we provide a variety of events throughout the school year so students can become more comfortable performing in front of an audience. All our events are optional, so students are encouraged but never required to perform.
Students of any age and level of experience are welcome to participate. With the exception of our pediatric cancer benefit, all events are free of charge for our students and audience members.

• Halloween Howl - a fun, informal event for students to perform whiie wearing their Halloween costumes.
• Holiday Recital - a festive, formal recital held every December.
• Open Mic Nights - informal events designed to build confidence in performing.
• Masterclasses/Workshops - hosted by a visiting expert or faculty member on various topics.
• Music for Mia - a benefit concert for pediatric cancer, held in memory of Mia McCaffrey of Trumbull.
• Community Recital - held at Mozaic Senior Living in Bridgeport in the spring.
• Annual June Recital - a formal recital celebrating our students’ progress throughout the school year.
• Make Music Day - an international event that occurs on the summer solstice, June 21st. FSM students and other local musicians perform outside in our parking lot (or inside, if it rains).
